Licence Plate Recognition and Barrier Integration with NetRelay
Explore a licence plate recognition integration where NetRelay automatically opens the barrier for authorised vehicles.
Automating parking access
At a sample business centre, security staff checked number plates from a list and opened the barrier manually. Queues formed during busy hours and entry records were not maintained consistently.
Integration flow
The recognition software analyses the camera image. When the plate is found in the authorised list, it sends a command to the NetRelay HTTP API. The relevant relay is activated for one second and transmits a dry-contact signal to the barrier controller.
Secure and recorded access
The plate, date, time and barrier result can be stored in the database. Notifications can be generated for unauthorised attempts, while network and device availability can also be monitored.
