Recognize the Plate, Verify Access and Open the Barrier Automatically

NetRelay enables license plate recognition software to communicate directly with physical barriers and access gates. Once a camera identifies a vehicle plate, the central application verifies authorization and, when access is approved, sends a command to NetRelay to activate the appropriate relay.

This creates a programmable bridge between computer vision software and physical access control infrastructure.

A Real Entry Workflow

A camera captures the approaching vehicle. The license plate recognition application processes the image and compares the detected plate with the authorized vehicle database.

If access is approved, the application sends a command to NetRelay. The configured relay activates the barrier opening contact for the required duration. Loop detectors, photoelectric sensors or barrier status contacts can also provide physical feedback to the application.

Contactless Access for Authorized Vehicles

Employee, executive, service, company and registered visitor vehicles can be pre-authorized. Vehicles can enter automatically without access cards, remote controls or manual intervention from security staff.

Authorization rules can be managed entirely by software and restricted by date, time, location or entrance point.

Visitor Vehicle Management

Temporary plate permissions can be created for expected visitors. A visitor vehicle can, for example, be authorized only between specific hours on a specific date.

When the vehicle arrives, the camera recognizes the plate, the backend verifies the active permission and the barrier opens automatically when access is valid.

Real-Time Entry and Exit Logging

Every vehicle event can be stored in a central database with timestamps. License plate, entry time, exit time, access point, authorization result and optional camera information can be associated with the same event record.

Automatically Block Unauthorized Vehicles

If a plate is not authorized, its permission has expired or the vehicle is not allowed to use a specific entrance, the barrier remains closed and the attempt can be recorded by the central security system.

Blacklist and Security Rules

Selected license plates can be blacklisted. Detection of a blacklisted plate can generate an immediate security alert without opening the barrier.

Time-Based Access Policies

Access can depend on more than the license plate itself. Day, time, location and user type can all be incorporated into authorization rules.

Centralized Multi-Gate Management

Multiple NetRelay devices deployed across a factory, campus, residential complex or logistics facility can be connected to the same central application. Each device acts as a network-connected physical I/O point while users, permissions, plates and reports are centrally managed.

Integrate Your Existing LPR Software
