Smart Automation and Event Management
With the NetRelay platform developed by M&L Technology, physical systems can go beyond remote control and operate automatically according to predefined conditions and intelligent workflows.
The NetRelay event configuration interface allows time, sensor values, digital inputs, network connectivity and various system events to be defined as automation conditions. When these conditions are met, relay outputs can be controlled automatically, commands can be sent to other devices and notification mechanisms can be triggered.
Time-Based Automation
Custom timers allow devices and equipment to be switched on or off at predefined times. With the optional DS3231 RTC module, time-based automation scenarios can continue operating even when Internet or NTP connectivity is unavailable.
Sunrise and Sunset Automation
Sunrise and sunset triggers provide dynamic scheduling for building, residential complex, park, garden and outdoor lighting applications. Lighting systems can automatically switch on after sunset and switch off before sunrise using configurable offsets. This eliminates the need for continuous seasonal timer adjustments while improving energy efficiency.
Sensor-Based Automation
External analog temperature, light, pressure, humidity and soil sensors can be used as automation inputs. Relay outputs can automatically activate when predefined sensor thresholds are exceeded or fall below configured values. This makes the platform suitable for greenhouse automation, irrigation, server cabinets, energy management and environmental monitoring.
Intelligent Network Monitoring and Ping Watchdog
The NetRelay Ping Watchdog feature continuously monitors the availability of network devices. Up to four IP addresses can be monitored and predefined relay actions can automatically run when a device becomes unreachable. Routers, modems, access points, servers and other network equipment can therefore be automatically restarted without manual intervention.
Device-to-Device Automation
Sensor or digital input data collected by one NetRelay device can be used to trigger relay outputs on another NetRelay device. This enables distributed automation architectures between physically separated locations without requiring a complex central control system.
Local and Independent Operation
A major advantage of the NetRelay automation architecture is its ability to operate entirely within the local network. Cloud connectivity is not mandatory, allowing critical automation scenarios to continue even during Internet outages. This provides a more independent and reliable infrastructure for industrial facilities, access control, energy management and security applications.
Integration and Developer Support
HTTP GET/POST, MQTT, WebSocket and TCP communication options enable NetRelay automation systems to integrate with existing software platforms. Developers can access inputs, outputs and sensor information using Python, Node.js, C#, C++, PHP, ASP, Delphi and many other technologies.
