Parking and Personnel Access Control System with NetRelay
An access control project that uses NetRelay to centrally manage parking barriers, doors and turnstiles through license plate recognition, card readers and personnel attendance systems.

Within the scope of this project, NetRelay is used as a reliable control layer between physical access equipment and management software in parking and Personnel Attendance Control System applications. The solution enables vehicle and personnel authorization, automated control of barriers, doors and turnstiles, and centralized monitoring of all access events.
Parking Barrier Control
A vehicle license plate captured by an automatic license plate recognition camera is compared with the authorized vehicle list in the parking management software. When the vehicle is approved, the software sends a command to NetRelay over the local network or the internet. A NetRelay relay output activates the dry-contact input of the barrier control panel, allowing the barrier to open automatically.
Inductive loop detectors, photocells, barrier position signals and emergency inputs can be monitored through NetRelay digital inputs. This enables vehicle passage verification, real-time barrier status monitoring and safe closing scenarios.
Personnel Attendance and Access Control
Personnel information received from a card reader, fingerprint terminal, facial recognition device or mobile authentication application is verified by the personnel attendance software. Following successful authorization, NetRelay activates the turnstile, electric strike, electromagnetic lock or automatic door system.
Employee entry and exit times, access points and authorization results can be recorded in the attendance system database. Working hours, shifts, late arrivals and unauthorized access attempts can therefore be centrally monitored and reported.
Software and System Integration
Through REST API, MQTT and local network communication options, NetRelay can be integrated with license plate recognition, parking management, visitor management and personnel attendance software. Local network operation helps maintain essential access control functions within the facility even when the internet connection is unavailable.
Central Monitoring and Remote Management
NetRelay devices installed across multiple parking facilities, factories, offices, warehouses or branches can be connected to a centralized management platform. Authorized users can monitor the status of barriers, doors and turnstiles in real time and issue controlled remote opening or closing commands when necessary.
Alarm and Safety Scenarios
Alarms can be generated for unauthorized access attempts, doors remaining open for extended periods, barrier malfunctions or device connectivity failures. Safety scenarios can also be implemented to release turnstiles and unlock emergency exit doors according to signals received from fire alarm or emergency systems.
Event Logging and Reporting
Vehicle and personnel access events, barrier and door movements, user commands, alarms and device connectivity information can be recorded. These logs can be used for security investigations, personnel monitoring, parking management and historical audits.
